Numerous articles discuss the indicators of cheating, the reasons why people decide to cheat, and whether or not forgiveness is warranted after cheating.

However, a 2016 study examined cheating and adultery from a whole new perspective. At what age are individuals most likely to decide to commit infidelity?

According to a study conducted by the dating website for married individuals, Illicit Encounters, people are twice as likely to cheat at the age of 39!

They discovered "There were 18% more 9-enders registered than there would have been if the site's users were a completely random sample of ages.

According to a representative for the company, "Some people cheat to obtain their partner's attention, according to our findings.

If their partner is a workaholic or unavailable, being discovered with someone else is a way of expressing, 'If you love me, pay attention to me!'

However, this report should be regarded with a grain of salt due to the possibility of Illicit Encounters bias, as they funded the research.

Whether people betray at age 39 or not, and for whatever cause, such as a midlife crisis, it does not alter the reality that they chose to cheat and destroy their relationship.
